Frequently Asked Questions
What is Link Previewer Pro?
Link Previewer Pro is a browser extension that lets you preview links without leaving your current page.
How does link previewing work?
Hover or trigger a link, and Link Previewer Pro opens the page inside a preview box so you can check it before opening it normally.
Can I open more than one preview at a time?
Yes. Multiple previews let you compare or keep several links open at once.
What are sub previews?
Sub previews let you preview links inside an existing preview box, so you can explore deeper without losing your place.
Can I pin a preview box?
Yes. Pinned previews stay open until you close them. Premium users can also keep pinned previews across page navigation.
Why do some websites show metadata instead of the actual page?
Some websites do not allow their pages to be displayed outside their own domain. When that happens, Link Previewer Pro shows useful page metadata instead.
Does Link Previewer Pro support notes and ratings?
Yes. You can add notes and rate websites, then manage them later inside the extension.
Can I bookmark links?
Yes. You can save bookmarks using your browser bookmarks or Link Previewer Pro’s own extension storage.
Can I customize the preview box?
Yes. You can adjust the preview layout, colors, and action button placement with the custom layout designer.
What are workflows?
Workflows let you automate actions based on preview events, such as when a preview opens, closes, gets pinned, or is bookmarked.
Is the screenshot feature final?
No. Screenshot is currently a beta feature, so results may not be perfect on every website.
Does my data sync across devices?
Browser-synced settings may sync depending on your browser account. Data saved in extension local storage does not sync automatically, but you can export, import, or use full backup and restore.
Can I back up my data?
Yes. Link Previewer Pro supports import, export, and full backup restore for easier transfer between devices.
Is Link Previewer Pro free?
Link Previewer Pro includes free features, while advanced features require an active license.
What features require a license?
Premium features include custom buffer time, advanced sub preview limits, advanced multiple preview limits, custom themes, notes, workflows, and other premium customization options.
How many devices can use one license?
Device limits depend on the license terms shown during purchase.
What browsers are supported?
Link Previewer Pro is being prepared for modern Chromium-based browsers first. Broader browser support may be added through browser-specific builds.
How do I report a bug?
Use the Report a Bug page on the website and include the website URL, browser, and steps to reproduce the issue.
